Strength
Both brands we stock are 4 mg per pouch, so the can-level strength is identical. Every Paz and VELO can we stock comes in at 4 mg, with 20 pouches and 80 mg of nicotine per can. That makes strength per pouch a non-issue.
The difference is in the pouch itself. Paz's slims are 0.6 g, putting 4 mg at 6.7 mg/g. VELO's minis are smaller: the Bright Spearmint Mini is 0.5 g (8.0 mg/g), and three of our VELO cans, including Dark Cherry and Simply Spearmint, are 0.42 g (9.5 mg/g). So VELO packs the same dose into a more concentrated pouch.
Sting ratings vary within each brand: VELO Dark Cherry is the mildest at 2/10, followed by Paz Citrus Sunrise at 3/10, while VELO Sour Lime hits 5/10 and Paz Lush Ice 6/10. If you want a sharper feel at the same 4 mg, pick one of the higher-sting options like Sour Lime or Lush Ice; if you want smooth, Dark Cherry or Citrus Sunrise.
- Light — 1.5–4 mg per pouch (177 cans listed, in stock or not). Where to start. Enough to feel, mild enough to sit with for an hour.
- Normal — 4.2–6 mg per pouch (76 cans listed, in stock or not). The everyday strength — enough to feel without taking over the afternoon.
- Strong — 6.3–12 mg per pouch (259 cans listed, in stock or not). A firm kick and a real tingle. Not a first pouch.
- Extra Strong — 12.5–20 mg per pouch (96 cans listed, in stock or not). Heavy hitters for a tolerance that is already built.
- Super Strong — 22.2–30 mg per pouch (70 cans listed, in stock or not). Serious doses, for a tolerance that is already well established.
- Extreme — 32.5–50 mg per pouch (70 cans listed, in stock or not). The highest doses we list. Far above any Canadian-authorized product.
Flavour and format
Paz comes only as a slim pouch and VELO only as a mini, so the portion shape is the first thing to settle. If you want the slimmer format, choose Paz; if the compact mini is what you are used to, choose VELO. Both brands cover mint and citrus, but the flavours are not identical.
For mint, Paz's Lush Ice scores 8/10 on our mint scale, against VELO's Bright Spearmint (6/10) and Simply Spearmint (5/10), so Lush Ice is the mintier pick. For citrus, Paz's Citrus Sunrise and VELO's Sour Lime rate 8/10 and 7/10 on fruit respectively, so the citrus decision can come down to pouch shape.
The brands split on berry and cherry: only Paz has berry, with Light Berry Frost, and only VELO has cherry, with Dark Cherry Mini. If you want a berry pouch, buy Paz; if you want cherry, buy VELO.

- PAZ Light Citrus Sunrise (4 mg) — Reach for PAZ Light Citrus Sunrise when you want a smooth, easy-going hit of citrus without smoke or tobacco.

Three cans make up the entire Paz selection, all produced by DHOLAKIA TOBACCO, the same manufacturer behind Rush. Each can holds 12 g of pouch material and sells for CA$14.00, putting the three flavours on equal footing for price and weight.
Light Berry Frost is the berry pouch, Light Citrus Sunrise is the citrus option, and Light Lush Ice is the mint choice. The range is small enough that you can buy all three and swap between them without much commitment.
If you need a recommendation, start with the flavour you already know you like: Lush Ice for mint, Citrus Sunrise for citrus, and Berry Frost for something fruitier.
Price and availability in Canada
Both brands are CA$14.00 per 20-pouch can, or CA$0.70 a pouch. That puts them at the top of our single-can range of CA$12.00–CA$14.00, so neither is a cheaper option. Price alone won't separate them.
Availability is more of a constraint. We have three single cans of Paz and four of VELO in stock. Paz is the tighter supply, so if a specific Paz flavour is on your list, ordering soon is wise. VELO has one more can but is still limited. Both ship from British Columbia across Canada, and orders over CA$150 ship free, which makes it easy to add a can to an existing order.
Since both brands cost the same, mixing them is cost-neutral. If you are weighing Paz's slim against VELO's mini, the direct test is to buy one can of each; at CA$14.00 a can, the price is identical per can. With only three Paz and four VELO cans in stock, the window for a side-by-side comparison is small, so ordering both sooner is the practical move.
Common questions
Is Paz stronger than VELO?
The Paz pouches we stock run 4 mg per pouch, which sits in the normal band. Compare that against the figure printed on the VELO can — milligrams per pouch is the only number that compares directly.
Do you stock both VELO and Paz?
Yes. Both ship from Richmond, BC right across Canada, priced in Canadian dollars.
Do Paz pouches contain tobacco?
No. They are all-white pouches with a plant-fibre filler rather than tobacco leaf.
VELO is manufactured by BAT, so it comes from a different manufacturer than Paz. That separation is a direct answer to the common question of whether the two are related: they are not.
Both are at the top of our strength range. Our single-can labels run from 2.8 mg to 4 mg per pouch, and every Paz and VELO can we stock is 4 mg. So if you are after the strongest pouches we carry, either of these will do.
For fruit flavour, PAZ Light Berry Frost and VELO Dark Cherry Mini both score 8/10 on our fruit scale, with VELO Sour Lime a point behind at 7/10. The sting differs though: Berry Frost rates 5/10, while Dark Cherry sits at a gentle 2/10. So if you want a fruit pouch with a sharper feel, choose Berry Frost; if you prefer it smooth, Dark Cherry is the better bet. That gives you a clear decision rule beyond the brand name.
Keep going: VELO, Paz, our full nicotine pouch range, every brand we carry.
