Authorized Nicotine Pouch Registry

Last updated August 31, 20262 rowsVersion 1.0.0Compiled by the Nicotine Pouches Canada editorial team

One row per Health Canada product licence whose dosage form is a pouch, with the licence holder, dates, nicotine per pouch and the authorized use.

Dot plot comparing authorized nicotine pouch strengths, both at 4 mg, against the 1.5 to 15 mg range named in Health Canada recall notices.
Every authorized licence sits on the same dose. The strengths named in recall notices run from well below it to nearly four times it.SVGPNG

Both licences are natural health product authorizations for nicotine replacement therapy, and both carry the manufacturer’s own authorized-use statement. Those statements are reproduced in the downloads in full, unedited — they are the licence holder’s words about what the product is for, not ours.

Counting licences, not names. One NPN can carry several marketed names: NPN 80143522 carries six, including a bare “Ö” that appears to be a filing artefact. Counting names would report six authorized products where there are two.

Methodology, sources and limits

What a row is
Every LNHPD product licence with dosage_form === "Pouch", grouped by licence number.
Update cadence
The upstream source changes weekly. This page is as fresh as its last build, shown above — not as fresh as the source.

Sources

Known limitations

  • LNHPD's marketed status is voluntary, so a licence shown as active is not evidence that the product is on a shelf, and a product absent from the database is not evidence that it is unavailable.
  • The registry covers natural health product licences only. Nicotine pouches above 4 mg per pouch are regulated as prescription drugs and would appear in the Drug Product Database instead, not here.
  • Nicotine per pouch is the quantity on the medicinal-ingredient record. It is the authorized figure, not an independent laboratory measurement.

Licence and reuse

Our compilation — the selection, the joins, the derived columns and the charts — is published under CC BY 4.0. Reuse it, including commercially, with attribution. The underlying government records carry their own terms, named beside each source above; nothing here overrides them.
